Posto difficile da raggiungere inizialmente perché il navigatore ti porta su una strada omonima a quella del casale tutta in salita e ripida e stretta dove ho rischiato di rovinare la macchina per fare inversione di marcia e poter tornare indietro. Una volta arrivata, dopo essermi persa almeno tre volte, posso dire che il casale é bello, anche raffinato, pieno di ulivi ,limoni aranci e animali. Una menzione speciale va a Roberto e le sue preziose attenzioni nei nostri confronti. Una persona speciale, oltre che molto cortese e disponibile, che fornisce un servizio navetta essenziale per poter visitare il centro in tranquillità e serenità. Roberto ci ha aiutato molto tutto il tempo del nostro soggiorno.

We had a farm tour and Mozzarella and pizza master class at Casale del Nono. It was the best excursion we took through our whole holiday. We were taken on a walk around the land seeing where and how they grow all food use in the kitchen. We were then taught about the mozzarella making process and made our own pizza and even baked it in the pizza oven! We enjoyed some of their homemade produce and had an amazing lunch together. A genuine must have experience when visiting Sorrento.

The staff was truly the highlight of our stay! Tamara, the chef, and Shewin, her assistant, were incredibly respectful and cooked the best omelet we’ve ever had. Francesca at the front desk was fantastic—always providing us with the daily dinner menu and helping with shuttle service arrangements. Roberto, the driver, was funny and made each ride enjoyable. Lashe, the dinner attendant, went above and beyond to help us when we arrived late—guiding us and making sure we could access our room smoothly. We also loved the donkeys, the charming chicken coop, and of course, the breathtaking views and sunsets from the villa.

What a grand experience. We had a tour of the farm and had a joyful experience creating our meal. The atmosphere and views of sorrento were fabulous. Antonio is a great chef and was easy to understand and thank you Frederica for your warm welcome and hosting us.

We had a fantastic stay in Casale del Nonno. The owner and staff possess great dedication to operate the business smoothly to let guests enjoy their stay. The location up the hill offers a wide view over the sea and valley, with Sorrento in the distance. There is a swimming pool to cool off from warm days. The breakfast offers a basic selection, quality wise one of the better ones we had in Italy. If you don’t like driving yourself or bother with parking in Sorrento, then there is a very handy shuttle service which goes between the property and Sorrento. To reach the property, the last part is a bit of a challenge. The property offers car parking. Sorrento offers boat trips to Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Naples, Ischia, etc.

Casale del Nonno was absolutely amazing! As an inexperienced cook, I had a blast at this cooking lesson. Antonio, Federica & Francesca made us feel welcome from the minute we met them. Fantastic views, informative cooking lesson. All staff was courteous.

A truly special place with soul!

We spent 4 nights at Casale del Nonno, and it was an absolutely unforgettable part of our trip. This place has it all: peace and quiet, spectacular views of the Sorrento coast, delicious cuisine, and the authentic charm of Italian hospitality.

One of the greatest treasures of this estate is its garden – vast, lush, and full of life. It’s home to nearly every plant you can associate with Italian cooking: citrus trees, olives, figs, tomatoes, chili peppers, herbs, bird of paradise flowers, and so much more. But it’s not just for show – this garden is the heart of the place. Everything grown here goes straight to the kitchen. The owners produce their own limoncello, olive oil, and jams. During one of the dinners, we even saw the chef walk straight into the garden to pick exactly what he needed at that moment – it doesn’t get more authentic than that!

The estate itself has been adapted with great care and taste. Everything is new, fresh, and finished with attention to detail. The interiors are comfortable and functional, yet full of style and character. When we arrived, bottles of their homemade limoncello and olive oil were waiting for us in the room – a lovely touch. The property also features a great swimming pool and a scenic viewpoint with breathtaking views of the surrounding area.

The people who work here also deserve a special mention. Tamara and Shavin from the breakfast team are incredibly kind, always smiling, and genuinely helpful – they made every morning feel like a perfect start to the day. Roberto, the driver who takes guests to the center of Sorrento, is a lovely and cheerful person, and an excellent driver (he handles the mountain curves like a rally pro!). The staff serving dinner were equally warm and welcoming – we regret that we only booked it once. The food was phenomenal, and the view from the terrace during sunset over the island of Ischia was absolutely magical.

Casale del Nonno is not only a perfect base for exploring Campania, but above all, it’s a place where you can truly unwind. Everything here is made with passion, authenticity, and a deep care for quality. We’ll be back next year – if the budget allows!

The cooking class was the best!!! Awesome experience!! Staff and chef so nice and welcoming. The food was exceptional. The grounds and view stunning. Most of the food is fresh from their garden and the animals are a bonus. I highly recommend this cooking class.
